Throughout my time at college I experimented a lot with mark making in my work, creating swatches of as many techniques as possible and then using these textures in illustrations.

These are a series of experimentations using the continuous line technique. I aimed to create my drawing without lifting my pen off the paper, creating a flowing effect. In the designs on the right I added watercolour.

Weight of line is one of my favourite drawing techniques as it creates depth and a 3D effect in imagery.
